Nokia E72 review – the perfect business phone

The Nokia E72 is a business phone and comes with a full physcial QWERTY keyboard located on the bottom of the phone. Although not as flashy as a full touchscreen phone, it does make for super-efficient messaging.

And that, of course, is what you want from a business phone – you want to be able to reach people quickly and respond to their messages in double quick time. With its superbly engineered QWERTY keyboard, crystal clear screen and 600MHZ processor, the E72 is perfect for just this task.

Usability-wise, then, the E72 is great. Its look are pretty special as well. Although a portrait-orientated QWERTY keyboard might not be the most handsome looking design to sport, you have to admit the overall look of the E72 is very crisp, professional and stylish.

iPad 3G: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The iPad 3G hit stores and customer mailboxes on Friday afternoon, but how does this slightly modified model compare against the original? Is the ability to use 3G worth the extra $130 per model? After spending the weekend using the iPad 3G and comparing it head-to-head with a Wi-Fi-only model, we hope we can help potential buyers figure out what iPad model might be best for them.

For my own comparison, I used a 32 GB Wi-Fi-only unit that was purchased on launch day and a 64 GB Wi-Fi+3G model that arrived Friday. Both units were connected via 802.11n to the same home network and my 3G tests were done in the area of my house that gives the best AT&T 3G signal.

Samsung N220 review

Samsung has released a large number of netbooks to critical acclaim and we're often impressed by the quality on offer, although some models have been hampered by a disappointing battery life. The N220 succeeds in addressing this issue and the result is a highly usable and portable machine.

The design is stylish and features very little Samsung branding – a massive reduction from the branding that covered some previous models. A thick layer of plastic covers the lid and helps to protect the netbook, although it does manage to quickly attract dirt and fingerprints.

Top 10 things Hollywood thinks computers can do

A couple of weeks ago we covered the Top 10 biggest tech flaws in films, this week we've got a kind of sequel (in the best Hollywood tradition), and we're looking at the Top 10 myths has about how computers work in the real world. Now we understand the need to 'sex up' computers, as they'd otherwise be incredibly boring, but must these stereotypes persist?

iHome iP1

Introduction

If the iHome brand seems familiar, it’s probably because you’ve seen or heard their products at your favorite large-scale retailer. In 2005 iHome began making affordable clock radios for the iPod and since then has expanded their product line to include a dizzying array of portable speakers, home stereo systems, earbuds and even more clock radios. iHome, though very successful and popular, is not what we’d characterize as a “high end” brand, but with the introduction of the iP1, the company aims to change that perception.

Olympus PEN E-PL1

Introduction

It’s hardly a secret that Canon and Nikon dominate the DSLR market. Rather than beating their heads against the wall by competing directly against them, other manufacturers are zeroing in a new type of camera—one with a large imaging sensor, smaller size and interchangeable lenses so you can get the photographic benefits of a DSLR without breaking your shoulder carrying it around all day.

Novero TheTalkyOne Bluetooth Hands Free Kit Review

Specifications
The Novero TheTalkyOne works with most major Bluetooth phones and can be used on the desk or mounted to the visor or the dash in your car. The manufacturer claims the device is good for 15 hours of talk and 180 hours on standby and it comes with a DC charger to keep it powered in the car.

In Use
The Novero TheTalkyOne is a very nice looking Bluetooth device. My review unit was white and looked very much like something from Apple. It has a locking holder that can be used to clip it to the visor in your car or stand it on a desk for conference calls.
